Different cancellation or refund terms may apply where a separate written engagement letter, service agreement, invoice, or proposal has been issued. In case of conflict, the specific written agreement shall prevail.
2. Free Consultations
Free consultations may be cancelled or rescheduled by the client by giving reasonable notice.
We kindly request that clients notify us as early as possible if they are unable to attend a free consultation.
Geren Corporate Services reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a free consultation where necessary due to availability, operational reasons, conflict checks, compliance concerns, or other reasonable grounds.
3. Paid Consultations
Paid consultations may be cancelled or rescheduled subject to the rules below, unless different terms are agreed in writing.
3.1 Cancellation by the Client
If you cancel a paid consultation:

more or equal to 72 hours before the scheduled time, you may request a rescheduling or refund;

less than 72 hours before the scheduled time, the consultation fee may be non-refundable;

after the scheduled time has passed, the fee will be non-refundable.
3.2 Rescheduling by the Client
You may request to reschedule a paid consultation by contacting us as soon as possible.
Rescheduling is subject to availability. We will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative time, but we cannot guarantee availability for a specific date or time.
3.3 No-Show
If you do not attend a scheduled paid consultation and do not provide prior notice, this will be treated as a no-show.
In the case of a no-show, the consultation fee will be non-refundable.
4. Cancellation by Geren Corporate Services
Geren Corporate Services may cancel, decline, suspend, or reschedule a booking, consultation, or service request where necessary, including where:

there is a conflict of interest;
-
required onboarding or due diligence is not completed;
-
required information or documents are not provided;
-
the requested service falls outside our scope;
-
the requested service requires a licensed, warranted, authorised, or regulated professional;
-
legal, regulatory, compliance, ethical, or operational concerns arise;
-
payment has not been received;
-
availability changes due to reasonable business circumstances.
Where we cancel a paid consultation or paid service before it has been delivered and the cancellation is not caused by the client’s failure, breach, or non-cooperation, we will either offer a rescheduling option or issue a refund for the amount paid for the undelivered service.
5. Service Requests and Project-Based Work
For project-based work, corporate support, governance support, regulatory support, mentoring, consultancy, or other services, cancellation and refund rights depend on the stage of the work.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

fees for work already performed are non-refundable;
-
fees for time already reserved, preparation already carried out, or documents already reviewed may be non-refundable;
-
third-party costs, administrative costs, filing fees, professional fees, payment charges, or government charges are non-refundable once incurred;
-
if a project is cancelled before work begins, a refund may be considered after deducting any applicable administrative or third-party costs;
-
if a project is cancelled after work has started, Geren Corporate Services may charge for work completed up to the cancellation date.
Specific project terms may be set out in a separate written engagement letter, proposal, invoice, or service agreement.
6. Subscriptions or Recurring Services
Where subscriptions or recurring services are offered, the applicable subscription terms will be shown on the website or agreed separately.
Unless otherwise stated:

subscription fees are charged in advance;

cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund past payments;
-
partial-month or unused-period refunds are not guaranteed;
-
access to subscription benefits may continue until the end of the paid period, unless otherwise stated;

we may cancel or suspend a subscription for non-payment, misuse, breach of terms, or compliance reasons.
Where a separate subscription agreement applies, that agreement shall prevail.
7. Digital Materials, Templates, or Documents
Where digital materials, templates, documents, downloads, guides, reports, or similar materials are provided, refunds may be restricted once the material has been accessed, downloaded, delivered, or made available.
This is because digital products and documents cannot usually be returned in the same way as physical goods.
Any refund request for digital materials will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
8. Refund Method and Timing
Where a refund is approved, it will normally be processed using the original payment method, unless another method is agreed.
Refund processing times may depend on banks, card providers, payment processors, or third-party platforms. Geren Corporate Services is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment providers.
Any payment processing fees, bank charges, currency conversion charges, or third-party charges may be deducted from the refund where permitted by law.
9. Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for:

providing accurate booking and contact details;

attending scheduled consultations on time;
-
providing required information and documents;
-
notifying us promptly if they need to cancel or reschedule;

ensuring that the requested service is suitable for their needs;

reading the Terms & Conditions, Legal Disclaimer, Privacy Policy, and this Cancellation & Refund Policy before making a booking or payment.
Failure to provide necessary information, attend a booking, complete onboarding, or cooperate with reasonable requests may affect refund eligibility.
10. No Guarantee of Outcome
Payment for a consultation, booking, service, subscription, or project does not guarantee any specific legal, regulatory, commercial, financial, tax, licensing, approval, compliance, audit, operational, or business outcome.
Fees are charged for the time, work, review, consultation, support, or service provided, not for a guaranteed result.
11. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy affects any mandatory rights you may have under applicable Maltese or EU consumer protection laws.
Where mandatory law gives you rights that cannot be excluded or limited, those rights will continue to apply.
